What can art [at a university] do to solve global problems? What could be creative ways to bring scientific knowledge to the public? What can we produce on terrestrial ecosystems and freshwater resources at the intersection of different disciplines?

All components of our university participate in this open dialogue, where we aim to think, learn and produce together; We invite researchers, academicians and students.

“What can art [at a university] do to solve global problems?” Based on the question, Co-Art Co-Act program aims to carry the sustainability agenda into a collective research and learning process at the intersection of science and art.

In the 2023-2024 period of the program, we focus on water, fresh water resources, and drying streams. We are preparing to introduce this work, which progresses through research-oriented art projects and participatory workshops, to the public with a series of panels and an exhibition on March 22, International World Water Day. In this way, we aim to foster dialogue with stakeholders both within the university and outside, and to reveal innovative ideas and unusual intersections.

In this process where we are looking for ways to make the knowledge produced in different disciplines available to the public and to intersect with each other, we invite you to our stakeholder meeting on January 18 to strengthen the ties within the university, learn from each other, and exchange ideas on the projects we have developed and can develop together.

Everyone who thinks about these issues and wishes to take action, especially academicians, students and student clubs who work under the heading of "water" and focus on fresh water resources and terrestrial ecosystems, is invited to this meeting.
